Capital of the French Riviera

Nice is the capital of the French Riviera a beautiful waterfront city, situated between the sea and the mountains, famous for the promenade des Anglais and its beaches, home to an international airport and a popular tourist destination. Nice was once part of Provence then under the states of Savoy, before coming part of France in 1860.

Nice has a rich cultural heritage amongst its many attractions are notable museums which bear witness to it exceptional history, Museum Matisse and Museum Chagall in Cimiez, Museum Massena on the promenade des Anglais and Museum des Beaux Arts in the Baumettes, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, MAMAC, a National theatre, the Opera House close to Cours Saleya and the Flower market in Nice s historic centre. As we take the seafront road passing by the La Reserve restaurant and Parc Vigier we arrive at the Place Ile de Beaute, the tourist port of transit to and from Corsia and other Mediterranean destinations for traveller in summer.

Promenade des Anglais built by the English winter community is the seafront route running east to west. We find the most famous of Nice's landmarks the 5star Luxury Hotel the Negresco, a mythic destination renown the world over. Other notable facades on the promenade are the Museum Massena, Hotels Le Royal, Westminister, Le Meridien, residence Beau Rivage and the Opera house on quai Etats-Unis.

Today the promenade is prominent in the life of the city, a place to stroll and admire the view, to cycle, jog or rollerblade, the promenade is popular with international buyers looking to buy an apartment or penthouse with terrace and sea view close to the beach and centre of Nice.
