Tour de France 2020 - 107 Issue
Edition 107 of the Tour de France starts on 27 June 2020 on the Côte d'Azur to finish on Sunday 19 July in Paris. The route follows an anticlockwise loop through the southern half of France – Nice, Provence, Cevennes, Pyrenees, Atlantic coast, west-east crossing, Jura, Alps, La Planche des Belles Filles, Paris. Tour de France (The Great Loop) is the most famous and prestigious cycling race, it is hold annually in France. It consists of 21 stages, each stage takes place in one day. Total, there are 21 days of competitions in endurance, speed, cycling.
The winner is the racer, whose total time for all stages is less than the rest. To take first place in the Tour de France is a great honor and achievement for a cyclist.
The date and route of the Tour de France in 2020 has already been agreed : from June, 27 to July, 19 the largest cycling race of Europe will take place in Nice. There will also be the start and finish.
This time, the length of the Tour de France 2020 route will be 3470 km.
The road is laid through the 6 regions of France and includes:
- 9 plains;
- 3 midlands ;
- 8 mountain areas.
Participants of the Tour de France 2020 are waited with 29 ascents of varying degrees of complexity:
- 13 climbs - in the Alps,
- 7 - in the Massif Central,
- 5 - Pyrenees, 3 - in Yura,
- 1 - in the Vosges.
Participants will have the opportunity to compete on 8 stages for bonus 8, 5 or 2 seconds.

3 stage: Nice – Sisteron (198 km)
4 stage: Sisteron - Orcières-Merlette (157 km)
5 stage: Gap – Privas (183 km)
6 Le Teil - Mount Aigoual (191 km)
7 stage: Millau – Lavaur (168 km)
8 stage: Cazères-sur-Garonne – Loudenvielle (140 km)
9 stage: Pau – Laruns (154 km)
July 6 – rest day
10 stage: The Château d’Oleron - Saint-Martin-de-Ré (170 km)
11 stage: Châtelaillon-Plage – Poitiers (167 km)
12 stage: Chauvigny - Sarran Corrèze (218 km)
13 stage: Châtel-Guyon - Puy Mary Cantal (191 km)
14 stage: Clermont-Ferrand – Lyon (197 km)
15 stage: Lyon - Grand Colombier (175 km)
